Our Wednesday Classes
Our Wednesday classes will continue at Dowty throughout September.
From Wednesday 7 October, we will move to:

We know that moving somewhere new can feel a little daunting, particularly after so many happy years at Dowty. However, the most important things are staying exactly the same: Wednesday evenings, our class times and structure, our teachers, our friendly community and our class prices.
We will have two excellent dance spaces at Oxstalls: the Rehabilitation Studio - which is much less clinical than its name sounds! - and the Garden Studio. The main space has a lovely floor and air conditioning!
Unlike Dowty, Oxstalls does not have a licensed bar, so alcoholic drinks will not be available to buy. We know that having a drink and a chat is part of the evening for many of our dancers, so we will run a small honesty bar selling soft drinks. There will still be space to sit, catch up and socialise between classes.
Parking and finding us
There is plenty of parking on campus. Parking costs £1.20 for the evening, and we appreciate that this is an additional cost for those who drive.
Although our new halls cost quite a bit more to hire, we are not increasing our class prices. Classes will remain £7 for one, £10 for two or £12 for all three. Including parking, one class costs £8.20 for someone driving alone, and the parking cost can be shared when travelling together. We remain committed to keeping our classes affordable and excellent value.
To make your first visit as straightforward as possible, the short video shows the route from the road into the car park, and then from the car park to our building and studios.
If you don’t mind a short walk, free on-street parking is often available on Grafton Road, directly opposite the main campus entrance. There may also be parking on Oxstalls Way, where it is quicker to enter the campus through a side entrance rather than walking around to the main entrance. Please check the local parking signs before leaving your car.
It is the end of an era at Dowty, but not the end of Cheltenham Swing Dance. We’re looking forward to welcoming you to our new Wednesday home and creating many more happy dancing memories together.
