Our CIC

Cheltenham Swing Dance are a not-for-profit CIC (Community Interest Company) that wants everyone to have the chance to dance. So why do we still charge you money, and what do we do with it?

There are a surprising number of running costs involved, which we need some income to cover. This includes things like insurance to teach and run events, venue hire, website hosting and email.

After we’ve covered our costs, any money left we put back into the ‘scene’. This includes subsidising bands to play for us, guest teachers and guest DJs, for example. We also need to build up a small cushion of money to enable us to outlay for larger events.
