No Festival in 2026 – but something special instead!
There will be no CheltenhamSwing.Dance Festival in 2026. A 55% increase in the cost to hire the Town Hall has made the event financially unviable, even with the usual subsidy from CSD CIC. Passing that extra cost on to dancers would make it uncompetitive – so we’re pressing pause… for now.
But don’t worry – we’ve got a brilliant alternative lined up for 2026!
We’re planning a more intimate Weekend Hop at the beautiful Tithe Barn in Bishop’s Cleeve, Cheltenham.

Friday: Evening welcome dance

Saturday: 5 hours of drop-in classes + evening dance with live band

Sunday: 4 hours of drop-in classes + afternoon tea dance
We’re thrilled to confirm that the incredible Jenny Thomas will be leading the Lindy Hop classes, with two additional rooms offering a range of fun and exciting sessions. All classes will be drop-in – choose what suits you, when it suits you.
