Nettie and Steve Pepperell bring you The Pepper Pot Hot Club with a bluesy twist: an afternoon workshop and practice time.
Learn the basics of dancing the blues at Gambier Parry Hall, Highnam.
Dancing the Blues is all about improvisation, connecting with your partner, and seeing what happens. Guest teachers, Tristan & Genna are back to bring you some more Blues figures!
Tris had dabbled in a range of partner dances, before finding the Blues. He quickly submersed himself into that world, attending every event he could, to learn more. In 2013 he set up the Bristol Blues scene. He discovered a passion for teaching dance when he was invited to teach at his first international event. Since then he has travelled across Europe sharing his love of this dance.
Genna has a lifelong passion for solo dance, discovering partner dancing while studying in Edinburgh. They enthusiastically ate up swing dances like Lindy Hop and Shag, before finding their heart in Blues. They moved to Bristol just over a year ago where they teach Blues for their local community.
Workshop: 13:00 to 16:00 - £35 per person.
Blues practice time with music playing: 16:00 to 18:00
A donation from the proceeds will go to Crohn’s & Colitis UK.
